In the Company of the JBx Women ft. Bunni Conroy
October 28 2018
When I was a little girl my role models were always the women in my life. We started this brand (The Jewelry Bx) to empower ourselves and other women to create and style the life they envision for themselves. We did not set out to only sell jewelry, we wanted to start a conversation with women about where they are going and what life are they leading in that jewelry. How does the jewelry make you feel? To that end we launched a monthly interview series on our JBx Blog called, In the Company of the JBx Women.
These are women we have been blessed to be connected to through business, family, or philanthropy. We ask the same 10 questions and are amazed at the remarks and insights provided by these women. We will publish and share them with you monthly through our blog so that you can get to know them too!
The more we share about each other the stronger the community and support we can give one another. There are so many women living so many different experiences, and we salute them all! We hope you will join us on our journey to showcase, support and discover what the authentic women in our life think about some very contemporary topics.Real women, Real answers....
I am so honored to be able to publish my favorite women who continue to teach me and inspire me every day. This month I am so happy to introduce Bunni Conroy!
I am so happy to introduce you to my cousin Bunni! I will be honest here and let you know that this article took a bit of pleading. Not because she wouldn't do anything for me her older cousin, NO because she is yet another beautiful woman who thinks her story- her life isn't interesting enough to write about....I have heard this alot as I send out requests for woman to answer these 10 questions and I am always surprised and perplexed by this response. The audience that I share this with is primarily woman (98%). Between the ages of 18-80.... From stay at home mom's, entrepenuers, teachers, healthcare workers, executives, retirees, students etc.
I trust that as woman of all fields, ages, experience we share in our value of ourselves and eachother. We come together bonded in unity of gratitude and pride that we have all walked our own path in this life and can express ourselves simply by answering 10 questions and SHARING them with eachother.
I use the word simple but I know it isn't simple to overcome this fear of "Who cares what I think?". So I push a bit and you share a bit. When it comes down to it- We need to care about eachother enough to be able to share our thoughts in this community of women! Thank you Cuz! Military wife, phlebotomist, mother, grandmother, friend....so much more....
We women currently have the spotlight- How do you think we can really support each other in this life of ours?

What woman inspires you?
That’s a hard one. There are so many in my women in my family that Inspire me. But the woman whom I admire the most is of course my beautiful mother. Why you ask?? She’s a very private person so she’s not going to like me telling everyone but, after the divorce of my parents she tried her hardest as a single mother to raise 3 kids. She did her best. The best anyone could do. And believe me we weren’t the easiest kids. But family was and us important to us. And she showed us that hard work pays off and nothing easy comes free. You have to work for what you want. We didn’t have everything we wanted. But we had everything we needed.
