Portland Day Trip

PORTLAND, MAINE
Planning our blogs in the winter is always a blast. An “arctic blast” because we love to adventure outside. As New Englanders we have visited incredible Maine many times, but we have never traveled to historical Portland, ME. A little over a 100 miles from Boston this seaside city in Casco Bay is both artsy and an adventurists dream with all of the untouched places to explore.
We spent the morning walking along Portland’s beautiful rocky coast. While the seaside was both windy and frigid the crisp air was a great refresher to our cabin fever.
How can we go to Maine without eating the lobster or enjoying all of the micro-breweries that have popped up? We couldn’t, so to thaw out we munched on Lobster rolls and stuffed crab sandwiches. Warmed up and belly full we ended our day driving along the coast taking in every bit of this beautiful city. We can’t wait to return this summer!
