When I was a little girl my role models were always the women in my life.  We started this brand (The Jewelry Bx) to empower ourselves and other women to create and style the life they envision for themselves. We did not set out to only sell jewelry, we wanted to start a conversation with women about where they are going and what life are they leading in that jewelry. How does the jewelry make you feel? To that end we launched a monthly interview series on our JBx Blog called, In the Company of the JBx Women.

These are women we have been blessed to be connected to through business, family, or philanthropy. We ask the same 10 questions and are amazed at the remarks and insights provided by these women. We will publish and share them with you monthly through our blog so that you can get to know them too!

The more we share about each other the stronger the community and support we can give one another. There are so many women living so many different experiences, and we salute them all!  We hope you will join us on our journey to showcase, support and discover what the authentic women in our life think about some very contemporary topics.Real women, Real answers....

I am so honored to be able to publish my favorite women who continue to teach me and inspire me every day.  This month for a special Mother's Day publication we will publish separately an amazing Mother/daughter team.   I am so happy to introduce  Hanna & Juliana Spofford.    I have been fortunate enough to have met this beautiful mother/daughter duo through our love of skiing.  This is one of those connections in life via other people (my younger brother)  that stuck and grew  and make a lasting bond.  There are some kids your children meet that you instantly see the connection.  Hanna was that bubbly, kind, passionate, loyal,  incredibly athletic, strong minded girl.  I would call her a lovely old-soul-type of girl.  She always has a warm hug for me and a caring word.  When she and my youngest daughter Nina met it was an instant friendship.  Although they live over 30 miles apart and now attend colleges in different states they always find their way back to each other.  True friendship rooted in shared values and passions can last a lifetime.  I am so happy to hear from her and see what her thoughts are...

We women currently have the spotlight- How do you think we can really support each other in this life of ours?

I've always loved the phrase "empowered women empower women" because this reigns true in every walk of life. By being confident in yourself and headstrong within your own life, other women will see this and feel that they are also capable. We all must support each other and lift each other up. The strength of many is greater than the strength of one.

What in your life has brought you or given you the greatest satisfaction or fulfillment?

I've always been drawn to helping others whenever the opportunity presents itself. Back when I was a camp counselor I used to tell myself that if I could make the difference in one kid's day I have done my job the right way. Whether it be helping them solve a problem, teaching them a life lesson, or just putting a smile on their faces, just the fact that I was making their day a little bit better made me extremely gratified.

What woman inspires you?

My mom. She is truly the most amazing person on this earth. This woman juggles so many things at once and does it all with grace and kindness. Not to mention she is also extremely intelligent and beautiful. My mom is a corporate lawyer and works extremely hard all the time doing things that are way beyond most of our knowledge. She's spoken at conferences on panels with Whitey Bulger's lawyer and has traveled to China twice because her company knows she's the best of the best. Beyond this, she cares for her mother with the most patience and love I have ever seen. She is also the legal guardian for her younger brother who has special needs. This woman puts her all into everything. She is the best role model I could ever dream of.

I feel most confident when...

When I'm laughing with my best friends and can truly be myself.

I Aspire to…

Touch the lives of as many people as I can. I want to be proud of my actions and have my successes in life carry beyond my years on this earth. I'd like to feel that I've made an impact.

How does jewelry make you feel?

It gives me the ability to make a simple outfit into something more. I love wearing big statement earrings when I go out with my friends.

What is your go to?: Netflix or a good book...

Netflix! I have too much energy to sit and read for too long. I like to be able to relax in front of the TV while also multitasking.

How would you define your personal style?

I'm definitely pretty laid back. I'd much rather be wearing a pair of leggings and a sweater than super dressed up!

 What are you known for?

I think I'm known for my outgoing personality and ability to talk to anyone.

What is your most memorable travel destination?

Punta Cana! The amazing weather and fun times with my family are a great memory for me.
