WHAT TO WEAR IN PARIS

We had SO much fun packing and styling our looks for Paris. Parisian style is very dynamic and ranges from simple sophistication to feminine haute couture. Despite this wide range that's not to say that just anything goes but the key component to Parisian style is to enjoy the creative styling process and carry your look with confidence. We hit all of the major Paris landmarks (plus some) during our week long trip leading up to Paris fashion week! These looks were perfect for Autumn in the city and when packing for this long of a trip being able to mix and match accessories became very important. See how we styled each look below and click to shop!

MONTEMARTE / SACRE COEUR

Montemarte is a neighborhood within Paris with a rich history that has undergone many changes throughout the years. Known in part for its nightlife and as an artists hangout this section of the city (18th Arrondissement) at one time housed artists such as Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, and Vincent Van Gough! This area sits at the top of the city providing the perfect dreamy backdrop to gaze upon from the local cafes and eateries. At the top of Montemarte sits Sacre Coeur ; this beautiful church is not to be missed!

STYLING TIP: Going along with the aesthetic of the area we wore an edgy black panama hat with a classic Parisian polka dot chiffon top to soften the look. We choose our gold "Inner Circle" hoop earrings over a classic pair of hoops to give this outfit some added charm.

VERSAILLES

Versailles, arguably one if not the most elaborate and beautiful palaces in the world is a must see when visiting Paris. Located slightly outside the city you should give yourself a full day to explore the grandeur of the rooms and perfectly manicured grounds. We took a bike tour so that we could better see the markets, gardens, king/queens summer homes as well as the palace itself. The Arts flourished in Versailles and with all of the French nobles living in the palace "style" and fashion became more of a commodity then ever before.

STYLING TIP: While we were *slightly* limited in what to wear due to biking we went for large statement earrings and a gold layered necklace. Our Spellbound Fan Earrings are a deep rich burgundy with a tassel flair. Normally after a full day of touring and biking a statement earring would start to feel heavy and weighed down but because these are made of a tassel material they are super lightweight. These earrings also have a french wire backing so that there is weighted balance between the front design of the earrings and the back preventing them from continuously swinging around. Nina wore one of our thick rose gold hoops, Starry Night , that have a wrap around star cutout design.

PARISIAN CAFE LIFE

What was one part of the trip we were most excited for? The croissants! And we were certainly NOT disappointed. French cafe culture is central to the Parisians and is one we greatly admire.

STYLING TIP:  For these moments we let ourselves have fun creating casual and easy to wear looks that still brought together the stylish charm of the cafe scene.

LOUVRE

When in Paris going to the Louvre is an absolute must. Even if you don't consider yourself an art connoisseur the Louvre has a little something for everyone.

STYLING TIP: We mixed a bit of sophistication with a bit of edge for this days styling. With blazers and leather jackets we both went with gold accessories. Layering different necklaces is such a great way to get more options from your jewelry. We layered our 18K Gold Brittany Necklace with our Time Traveler layered necklace that went perfectly with the V line white t-shirt and blazer. Our Straight to the Point simple hoops earrings with a geometric hanging charm added just enough detailing to the bold red top with our leather jacket.

EIFFEL  TOWER

Burj Khalifa Top Sky Dubai | What to Wear in Dubai

Paris is known as the city of love and the Eiffel Tower has been the backdrop to tourists and locals alike as the staple landmark of the city.  From every spot in Paris you have the opportunity to view this stunning architectural creation. The wonderful part about visiting the Eiffel Tower is that you can choose from a picnic along the lawn or dine at one of the many 5 star restaurants while still in view of the tower.

STYLING TIP: We went for a classic feminine look with a dress from Zara that was simple in color and structure  but had a mix of sophisticated elegance. We accessorized with our Jaclyn 14K Gold Hoop Earrings that are a delicate lightweight design to complete this Parisian look.

CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES

The Champes Elysees is one of the most sought after and desirable fashion streets in Paris. It is a hub for high-end retailers from Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Longchamp, L’Occitane en Provence, Lacoste, to affordable brands like Zara, Gap, and H&M. The avenue is beautifully tree lined with wide sidewalks and cafes scattered in between retailers.  It is a place to see and be seen and while shopping along you will see the some of the best street style in the world mixing with high luxury fashion.

STYLING TIP: I wanted my vibrant rich fall yellow corset top to stand out so I went with all black accessories and statement fringe earrings. These earrings brought together Fall hues and perfectly complimented the color of my top while adding detail and texture to this look.
